The results of therapy in 56 consecutive cases of hepatic amebiasis are reviewed.In retrospect, the results in patients receiving metronidazole alone, dehydroemetine combined with chloroquine, and dehydroemetine combined with chloroquine and metronidazole were compared.No deaths occured.
